Yah it snowed and It's finally getting cold around here, which makes me so glad I purchased a coat the covers my big belly! Christmas time has definately kept me busy but I love the hussle and bussle of it all. I wrapped presents the other night sipping hot cocoa and watching christmas movies, there really is no other time like this all year and yet it always seems to go by so quickly. Some of my favorite christmas things include: Christmas music, egg nog, the way my house looks with all the christmas decor, especially at night with my tree lit and the glow of the ribbon on the wrapped presents underneath. Hot cocoa, outside christmas lights, christmas movies (it's a wonderful life and elf especially), the bell ringers at walmart. etc. etc. As you can see I'm definately in the Christmas spirit! Hopefully Cass gets in on it as soon as he's done with school (2 more days) yah, he has 2 finals left and we can all officially call him a real true accountant! (in case anyone needs thier taxes done this year).
So I'm 22 weeks this week (over half way) and I can finally feel the little sucker move. He doesn't move much though, or at least not that I can feel or maybe I'm just always moving. Anyway it's been great, I even got Cass to feel him kick once or twice last week, he was so thrilled. I love being the mom and being able to carry him and experience so much more. I didn't like the being sick part...but the second trimester has been much nicer to me. I bought my first maternity clothes and there really not bad and a lot more comfortable. I just pray my scrubs last me a while longer I can't afford new EVERYTHING, especially pants, there are no baby parts in my backside so I'm a little confused on why that seems to be growing as well. Oh well I'm just grateful we're both healthy and although i'm not loving this rapid expansion thing it's much better than the firtst months of 10-15 times a day trip to the bathroom (or whatever was closest) :)

Wow...it's December!
So Thanksgiving came and went quickly. We spent turkey day with Cass's family, I made pies with my mother in law, and of course the food was great and plenty of it. I certinately didn't hesitate on gorging myself. I'm pretty sure I gained 4 pounds over the course of last week, and it was not all baby wieght:) My doctor will be so pleased. Following thanksgiving we had our annual christmas tree hunting extravaganza in price where we (along with my whole extended family on my moms side) hike, find and chop our tree down, then spend the night in the local holiday inn. This is a long time family tradition, although this year the hunting part was the majority of it. It took us hours to find our tree or any tree for that matter, we hiked and hiked and hiked. Cass was such a good sport and in the end he found what is now adorned with lights and ornaments collected from my childhood to now and making my living room smell wonderful and filled with Christmas joy! So happy tree decorating, cookie making, gift shopping, and goodie eating...Happy December!

November 24th 2008
Well after much persuation I've finally given in to blogging! I am currently at work (in the ER still of course) it's 4:30 am and not much is going on so I figured why not. So I'll begin by talking about the most consuming part of my life lately. My little growing baby! He is 19 weeks today and I feel like I'm growing a ton. I have felt bad recently since we've found out we are having a boy because I havn't bought anything for the little fetus...I've recently discovered childrens place and after this weekend I'm not feeling so bad anymore:) I thought it wouldn't be as fun to shop for a boy as it has been to shop for my neices... boy was I wrong little boy clothes are so cute, my little slugger is going to be stylin in all his new clothes. We had our big ultrasound this last week, I love them! I feel like we are gettting to visit him each time we have one. He was sucking his thumb the whole time, I guess he has to have something to play with in there. I am just recently beginning to feel him move, Cass gets jealous when I can feel him and can't wait till he starts to kick hard enough that he can feel him also. Oh his name is Kale, thats the name we both like and unless something else pops up and knocks it out of the running were sticking with it.. Kale Cassidy Lewis. We are so excited and feel ultimately blessed for this little person to join our family, alought this was unexpected, we are so grateful for our little surprise and can't wait for him to come. April 19th!
